We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Communications to lead and elevate our luxury hotel brand's global communication strategies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's narrative, enhancing its reputation, and driving engagement with key stakeholders, including guests, media, partners, and internal teams. The VP of Communications will lead a dedicated team and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure cohesive and effective communication initiatives that resonate with our luxury-focused audience.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Communication Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the brand's luxury positioning, values, and business goals.
  • Define and maintain the brand's messaging framework, ensuring consistency across all communication channels and touchpoints.

2. Brand Reputation Management:

  • Safeguard and enhance the brand's reputation by proactively managing crisis communications and mitigating potential risks.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for proactive reputation-building initiatives.

3. Media and Public Relations:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, influencers, and industry partners to secure positive and impactful coverage.
  • Oversee the creation of press releases, media kits, and other materials to effectively communicate key developments and news.

4. Content Strategy:

  • Lead the development of compelling and creative content, including written, visual, and multimedia assets, to engage and resonate with the luxury hotel audience.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure a consistent brand voice and aesthetic across all content platforms.

5. Internal Communications:

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies that align employees with the brand's mission, vision, and objectives.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership to ensure transparent and effective communication across the organization.

6. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, industry associations, and local communities, to foster positive engagement and partnerships.

7. Event Management:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of high-profile events, including grand openings, press conferences, and exclusive VIP gatherings.
  • Ensure that events align with the brand's luxury identity and contribute to its visibility and reputation.

8. Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, with a proven track record in luxury hospitality, travel, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of luxury brand positioning and the ability to convey luxury lifestyle experiences through strategic communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various platforms and audiences.
  • Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
  • Established network of media contacts and industry influencers.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align communication efforts with business goals.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital communication tools and platforms.
  • Leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
