Public Relations Manager (Consumer Packaged Goods - CPG)
 
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Manager to join our team in the fast-paced and exciting world of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG). As a Public Relations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic PR initiatives that enhance the brand reputation, drive consumer engagement, and promote our range of consumer products. Your expertise in media relations, communication strategies, and brand positioning will play a critical role in shaping our company's image and fostering positive relationships with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Implement PR Strategies: Create comprehensive public relations strategies that align with the company's overall marketing and business objectives. These strategies should encompass media outreach, events, influencer partnerships, and other tactics to increase brand visibility.
2. Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, journalists, and influencers in the CPG industry. Secure media coverage in relevant publications, TV, radio, and digital platforms to increase product awareness and maintain a positive brand image.
3. Content Creation: Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop compelling and engaging PR materials, including press releases, media kits, brand stories, and other relevant content to support media outreach and brand messaging.
4. Crisis Management: Proactively manage and address potential PR crises and sensitive issues to protect the company's reputation. Develop crisis communication plans and respond swiftly and appropriately to manage any negative press or public perception.
5. Brand Positioning: Develop and maintain a strong brand positioning for the company's CPG products. Ensure consistent messaging across all communications platforms to reinforce the brand's identity and values.
6. Event Management: Plan and execute press events, product launches, trade shows, and other PR-related events to generate media coverage, strengthen brand presence, and foster relationships with influencers and industry partners.
7. Internal Communications: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective communication with employees, ensuring they are informed about key company developments and initiatives.
8. Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze PR efforts, media coverage, and sentiment to measure the impact of PR campaigns and adjust strategies as needed for maximum effectiveness.
9. Budget Management: Manage the PR budget efficiently, allocating resources to various PR activities while ensuring optimal return on investment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. A master's degree would be a plus.
• Proven experience (6 years) working as a Public Relations Manager, preferably in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of media relations, crisis management, and brand positioning strategies.
• Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and building relationships with key journalists and influencers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive PR materials.
• Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative PR campaigns and initiatives.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple PR projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using PR software and tools to monitor media coverage and track performance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage external PR agencies effectively.
