Associate
A boutique strategic communications and corporate affairs firm is seeking a team-first, go getter Associate with 1-2 years agency and/or in-house experience to join its team in New York City. This experienced Associate is responsible for helping teams drive the tactical execution of plans and campaigns to exceed client expectations. The ideal candidate is passionate about critical thinking and problem solving, writing and storytelling, media relations and social media, and can excel in a team and entrepreneurial environment. This candidate would be a part of a growing group of young professionals, reporting directly to the senior members of the team. The organization members are currently working remotely, but plans to reopen its offices in Summer 2021.
Responsibilities:
• Research, planning, and development of strategic corporate communications programs for multiple retainer accounts and standalone projects
• Maintain strong relationships with business/financial, industry, and local market media
• Draft and edit client messaging and stakeholder communications materials, including talking points, FAQs, memos, scripts, decks, etc., as well as content for media relations activities
• Create, manage, and implement social media strategies, calendars, and accounts for multiple clients, including posting on weekends
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of relevant communications experience, showing a proven track-record of exceptional writing skills, editorial placements, and published social media content (writing test and/or samples will be requested)
• Excellent organizational and planning skills; able to work quickly under pressure, handling and prioritizing multiple assignments
• Ability to manage tasks, times, and meet weekly/monthly KPIs in a virtual work environment
B.S./B.A. in public relations, marketing, business communications or related field preferred
