Director of Public Relations – In-house - Dallas or Austin, TX
A first-class digital life insurance provider pursues an innovative lifestyle Director of Public Relations to build, lead and execute targeted media and PR strategies. Our client seeks a disruptive PR professional who can connect their life insurance product and principles to the mainstream media.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate is an action-oriented leader with the ability to execute events, traditional media, digital and video communications, social and influencer activations and thought leadership.
What You'll Get to Do: • Execute yearly communications plans • Create innovative, powerful earned media strategy – developing hyper-targeted media contacts and outreach for stories • Partner with brand and strategy team on an on-going basis • Identify meaningful thought leadership/speaking opportunities • Securing high-level placements in top-tier news outlets
Who We're Seeking: • A true storytelling with a minimum 7 years’ communications experience • Strategic thinker and an inclusive leader that thrives in a fast-paced environment • Proven track record of A-level media results • Financial services, technology and insurance experience • A gifted writer that is aware of the latest trends, lifestyle fields and cultural happenings. • Solid negotiating skills • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, or related field
