COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIST - In-House. for a Natural Capital Group (NAC) - if you want to work protecting the environment, this is a great opportunity. 130k -150k + Equity. NYC or DC Individual should panache, creativity, and a passion for natural capital to join our their growing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role leading and executing the strategic messaging, media relations, content development, and overall brand presence f “product launch” as NACs come to market. Responsibilities: • Distill and refine key messages to reach a variety of audiences and stakeholders • Develop comprehensive communications plan and calendar • Secure speaking opportunities at high impact conference and events • Proactively identify actual or perceived risks to clients brand (both internally and externally) and develop tactical responses as appropriate • Develop and execute plan to educate stakeholder groups who can help communicate messages (e.g., NGOs, networks and platforms) • Coordinate with communications teams at our investors/partners who can amplify our message (e.g., NYSE and others) • Conduct media training for internal spokespeople • Work with outside agencies as needed for specific needs (e.g., events and crisis management) • Write, edit, and proofread copy (e.g., press releases, marketing collateral, and social media) • Support media and communications needs across various time zones, including internationally • Flexibility to travel as needed Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required • 7+ years of experience in journalism or political strategy preferred, with progressive experience handling complex messaging for disparate audiences • Passion for nature • Background in nature/conservation/natural capital and/or scientific fields preferred • Familiarity with finance and capital markets preferred • Adept at communicating complex topics in a clear, sophisticated, and memorable fashion • Experience across a variety of media platforms (e.g., print, TV, web, social, film/video hello@phifercompany.com #commsjobs #prjobs #commu #communications #publicrelations #environment
